Integral ATT・EO Conversion System

This system combines the unit of integration, attenuation and EO conversion.
The system includes the following units.
・Rogowski Coil: for lightning current measurement
・Integration unit: for signal from CT/shunt resistance
・Signal attenuator
・EO converter: for converting the electrical signal to optical.
EO unit divides positive signals and negative signals into separate light emitting elements so that long-term battery-powered observations can be performed. The quiescent current consumption can be as low as 20mA.
Only EO unit requires electricity, thus energy costs can be substantially reduced.
EO converter is independent of temperature variation as the light output is constantly adjusted in accordance with the input signal.
Two optical fibers (200um core) are used conjointly.
